Litigation regarding mold exposure, water damage and other types of indoor air quality issues has been prevalent for well over a decade. These cases can involve substantial claims for personal injuries, lost profits, remediation costs, attorney's fees and other damages. Defendants often include developers, building owners, property managers, insurance companies and remediators. Some cases have resulted in substantial settlements and jury verdicts, including multi-million dollar awards.
What is the current status of mold and indoor air quality litigation? What trends exist regarding this type of litigation and what does the future hold? What is the current state of the medical science behind claims by individuals who allege that they have been harmed by IAQA exposures? These and other questions will be addressed by Mr. LaFave and Mr. Webb, who have both been extremely involved in mold and indoor air quality lawsuits for almost two decades
